Valentine Album

Ah, Valentine's Day.

When we got married, Hubby and I chose not to do the card or gift thing for any occasion, including birthdays. Our thing is to plan a trip to the coast, and/or go out for a nice supper (or lunch) and enjoy a nice bottle of wine (or two) on the patio, especially if the weather is lovely. So, when I received my January Mystery Card Kit that I purchased from Anna Griffin Inc., I decided to make an album instead. This way I can go through all the pictures of us together, print them out small and make some collage pages.

The album itself is the Create-an-Album from 49 & Market. I cut the beautiful papers to size and adhered them to the album. I used a variety of Anna Griffin Inc. dies (3D Lace Doilies, 3D Concentric Heart dies, and some of the dies from the Trellis Album set) to create the shapes to decorate, along with the lovely die cuts that came in the kit. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It will be fun to see how we've changed throughout our 25 years together.

This is the front of the album. I love the collage feel of it, all the layers and textures that keep your eye moving from one thing to the next. Below is a close up of it.

This is the album layed out so you can see the back and the spine as well. Love all the little details!

Thanks for looking and I hope you are inspired to do something different with your kit.
